Pregnancy is a special time for most of us though it can be a sensitive time especially if it’s your first. Active manuka honey is fine to be taken while pregnant and there is no evidence connected with the product what so ever which will influence the unborn child.

Though it must be indicated that no child under the age of 1 year old should consume any honey or active manuka honey what so ever.
Honey consumed by young infants is known to cause infant botulism, a disease that attacks the nervous system. This can be caused by Clostridium Botulinum spores of which are sometimes present in honeys.
